A dub cover of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart. It’s a pretty groovy little track. There’s also a video of Jah Division performing “Heart and Soul,” but I haven’t watched it yet since I don’t have Real Player.
(via Boing Boing).
It, for lack of a better word, sucks.
The lyrics sound like self-parody. The vocals seem empty. And the music, though catchy, is flat. It sounds like a Stabbing Westard or Gravity kills track, really. I hope the rest of the album is better.
Just bought tickets to see Tech N9ne in Ft. Collins.
You can download a track here, but it’s not one of my favorites. Better to check out the video section of his web site. The videos aren’t all that great, but those are some of his better tracks.
I’ve been so preoccupied with other things in my life right now that I didn’t notice the 3 year anniversary of the last time anyone saw Jon.
Wherever you are Jon, we all still miss you.

A song that’s been on rotation too much lately: Steroid Maximus’s Aclectasis. It’s the theme song for The Venture Brothers, but I’ve been a Thirwell fan for a long time. It’s about time i tracked down his newer (past few years) works.
I found the song on this Idiot’s Guide to Dreaming post. There’s […]

I’ve only recently learned about Immortal Technique, but people are calling him the new Rakim or the new Chuck D. I don’t know about all that, but he’s amazing. And this song with DJ Green Lantern is the most intense anti-Bush songs yet.
download it at the Hip Hop Foundry.

I was just thinkin’ MC Frontalot reminded me a little of MC 900 Ft. Jesus. Oddly enough, Scenestars has “While the City Sleeps” and “The Killer Inside Me” online right now.
Check out this great nerdcore rapper. I really like the song “Crime Spree”
MC Frontalot mp3s.

We are greatly saddened to have to you that at about 5.30 pm Saturday Nov 13th, Jhonn Balance, was killed in an accident at home.
Under the influence of alcohol he fell from the first floor landing, hitting his head on the floor some 15ft below.

A couple years ago I was talking to my friend Cody, an MC, about Eminem. Cody said he respected Eminem’s skills but he wished he would push a more positive message.
Well, here it is. I can barely believe it. Gone is the social apathy and nihilism of his previous work, […]
The city that gave you Nirvana, Sleater Kinny, and the Gossip amongst others, has some other great shit.
The Strangers were one of my favorite live acts in Oly, their mp3s don’t really do them justice.
There’s a couple more Strangers tracks here, and two by my friend Adam’s band Kickball.

I first got into this band when they were called the Flesh Peddlers and I read a review that said their album sounded like it was recorded by a bunch of Tweakers who broke into Trent Reznor’s studio and set it on fire and tried to make an album before the studio burned down.
The Flesh […]
