Various things related to the mobile web:
Die Puny Humans, Boing Boing, and Smart Mobs all have winksites now. Ellis also has a fiction winksite, paving the way for my idea for a mobile literary journal. Having three of the biggest blogs out there start using their site should solidify Winksite as a standard for WAP site creation and perhaps generate interest in creating more interesting uses for the technology than syndicating existing blogs.

and speaking of winksite love, I keep getting people sending me random telephone numbers or messages about how lonely they are…. Guess sex really does get to the new technology first. Invent a new toy and a million dudes think ‘how can this get me laid’…
But who in the world think’s sending a random phone number without even a note will work? No I’m not about to call and find out…
I hear ya. Just another medium to spam. Upoc (upoc.com) is my favorite: a service that sends txt msgs to your phone that all say “i’m a horny man looking for a sexy chick, txt me!”
